Inspired by everlasting love, a desire to empower women, and a passion for southern culture, Ari's Flower Shop was born in Nashville, the Athens of the South. Our brand was created of a necessity for women to have a safe place in Tennessee to discover a wide range of natural, hemp, nicotine, and other medicinal wellness products suited for their needs.

The majority of shops in Nashville offering similar products are unfortunately in seedy locations and do not provide a level of comfort that encourages females to browse their collections. As a result, women are often unable to partake in the benefits provided by the products - creating a gap in the industry.

As a result, we place accessibility, product quality, and employee/consumer safety at the forefront of our business model. Our passion for philanthropy combined with our love for the story of Ariadne and Dionysus' wedding inspired us to create a stylish, women-focused wellness brand rich with southern and greek folklore.
The Eternal Love Story of Ariadne & Dionysus
The story of Ariadne in Greek mythology is in essence a simple one, for it is a tale of love, love lost and a new love found, but the tale of Ariadne is also an ancient one, with many versions have been told over the centuries.

The story of Ariadne begins upon the island of Crete, for Ariadne was daughter of King Minos. Eventually, the Athenian prince Theseus would arrive upon Crete as one of the sacrificial youths. Ariadne spotted Theseus from a distance and vowed to help the Greek hero defeat the Minotaur in its labyrinth, despite her father's advice to stand aside (what a modern woman!).
Ariadne gifted Theseus a sword and a golden thread (seen in the photo on the right), so that by tying one end to the entrance of the labyrinth, Theseus was able to slay the beast and navigate back to his starting point. After escaping the labyrinth, Ariadne fell in love with Theseus and joined him in his travels. After arriving at the island of Naxos, the life paths of Ariadne and Theseus separate, for Theseus would cruelly travel onwards to Athens by abandoning the Cretan princess while she slept (passive aggressive much?).

Ariadne would later go on the meet the love of her life, the god of Wine and Fertility, Dionysus. It is said that Dionysus believed Ariadne's soul was so beautiful, that he fell in love with her at first sight (which was similar to my backstory!). This love ignited a flame of fulfillment and passion so bright, it is said to have created the nebulas themselves.

In an unfortunate twist to their fates, the pair encounter Medusa and Ariadne falls victim to the narcissist's stare (relate much?). That night, Ariadne passed away. Riddled with grief and anger at the loss of his soulmate, Dionysus traveled into the underworld, found his beloved's mortal soul, and brought her back to life. They are reunited on Mount Olympus, where the couple has their wedding. The eternal bond made that day allowed Ariadne to ascend from a mortal into a god.

Ari's wedding crown (seen in our logo), gifted by her beloved, was placed among the stars in the heavens as the constellation 'Corona Borealis', forever a symbol of their union (ultimate couple goals).

This story that portrays the incredible power of true love serves as the inspiration driving Kati and Rj to make Ari's Flower Shop something we're immensely proud of!
